L.A. Girl Rock Star "Groupie" | Why does the name of this color remind me of this song [embedded video]

 

I’ve been a fan of L.A. Girl Flare Nail Lacquer for a long time but this is my first time trying polish from their Rock Star collection.  I always have a hard time wearing purple polish but I really like this one.  The quality was great and this application took three coats because I wanted it as opaque as possible.  Deep purple polish with deep purple and dark blue micro glitter is very pretty…but next time I’ll wear it with a matte top coat.  For some reason I love the name of this nail polish but couldn’t help but think of Summer ’04 and the song “Groupie Luv” by 2-1-3 LOL.  Am I the only one that loves this song??

Side note:  I thought this color would be a dupe for NARS Purple Rain but it’s not.  Purple Rain has a hint of fusia shimmer to it.
