When this video came my way I honestly thought that Momma Good-Hair was going to have a full healthy head of hair. I imagined a huge ‘fro. Sadly, none of that came across my screen. The only thing I see here is a sad, delusional, misguided African American Indian American Cherokee and Blackfoot Indian woman. I’m sure Princess (if Kimmaytube is the queen I’m assuming she’s the princess) Satin Bonnet plays in Momma Good-Hair’s hair all day with that hard brush. I’m not sure why she felt the need to do a Youtube video attempting to prove that she’s mixed based upon a hair type O_o. Learn to love yourself, your hair, and your African American race.

Once again it’s time to get personal. Not the one to shy away from taboo topics, I figured we can kick off the fall/ winter season with something good. What better way than to talk about skin care tips? Let me warn you now (just in case you didn’t expect it from the title of this post)…some of the things discussed in this post are of an adult nature. So, we just experienced our first storm of the season this past weekend. It didn’t put a damper on the weekend but I noticed that it really took its toll on my skin in the most undesirable way and it had me thinking, “why don’t we ever blog about this issues? I know I’m not the only one.” These are just a few unexpected skincare issues to be prepared for.
Chapped/ chaffed Nipples
Chapped chaffing nipples can happen anytime but once it gets cooler it seems to get worse. Consider cotton bras and maybe even a nipple balm. Nipple balms aren’t restricted to nursing mothers. They’re also inexpensive. Try Avado Organics Nipple Care Balm at Target for around $10 or Udderly Smooth Udder Cream for around $5.00.
Alligator Heels
Cold, wind and dry cracked heels don’t mix. Running the heater also dries the skin. If you have a bad case of foot callus try Be Natural Callus Eliminator for around $13.00 at Sally’s. To maintain smooth feet be sure to exfoliate weekly.
Dry ‘Gina and Chaffing
Sounds crazy but your ‘gina ages and can also become dehydrated and dry. You should be moisturizing your ‘gina when you moisturize your body to keep it moisturized and hydrated. Be sure to sure a natural moisturizer such as Nature’s Gate Pomegranate Moisturizer (if you like creams) or Jason’s Pure Beauty Oil. A great product for chafing is Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel (which can found at most drug stores and major retailers).
But don’t worry ladies…the colors are still the same. Zoya’s “Fire & Ice” collection is now called Zoya “Flame”. I’m not sure what prompted the name change see update below. This collection was officially released October 1st and has been appearing on blogs since September. None the less, the colors look nice from the promo pics. I’ll have swatches of these colors up within the next couple weeks. I’m surprised that Zoya haven’t already used names like Tiffany, Lisa, Sarah, Gloria, Crystal, and Valarie. Will Krissy ever come up?
UPDATE: There was a conflict with a previously trademarked name so they changed it.
Side note: There seems to be a little confusion as to what’s been causing information to be delayed or not received at all for Zoya collection releases. But I’ve been assured that everything has been resolved.

I’ve been admiring Raven’s hair for a while so I was anxious to share this video from Bella Sugar with you ladies. I’m really thinking about trying this when I get my hair (the weave not my natural hair) redone.
Are you ladies feeling Ombré highlights?
