This. Is. The. Remix.
The wait is finally over! As we previously discussed, CoverGirl teamed up with Pat McGrath…one of the most influential makeup artist in the world, and has completely redone all the lipsticks in the Queen Collection by added 24 new colors.
Overall the consistencies of all the lipsticks are the same across the board- silky and light. As with many drugstore brand lipsticks, expect them to last 2 to 3 hours. If you use lip liner you can get a good solid 3 hours out of them. I was taken aback by the scent of these lippies. But in all fairness its classic CoverGirl fragrance and a lot of readers mentioned that they love it. I thought it was because I had 4 tubes open at a time. You don’t really smell it while it’s on your lips- but when you open the tube you’ll notice the sweet & spicy waxy smell.
The packaging is cleaner and sleeker than I thought from the promotional photos. Any lipstick that has a color indicator gets two thumbs up in my book (unless the color indicator is totally off which is rare). It’s nothing worse than running late and having to open multiple tube of lipstick to toss in your bag. The only drawback may be that the deep shiny finish bronze case is that it holds fingerprints. This isn’t a deal breaker for me, because it’s really no different than the issue I have with my YSL lipstick cases.
I’m not sure if these 4 colors are an indication of what’s to come—well I hope not. They all had the same satin/ frost finish and I’m hoping we get a wide selection of crèmes…and this is pushing it but some mattes and shimmer too. I understand it’s pushing it but I’m wishfully hoping.
Nude Attitude, a brownish coral with gold micro shimmer with a satin finish. I guess Nude Attitude would be the best name for it. It’s a kicked up nude. I didn’t find this one flattering on my so I may just put a gloss over it.
Into the Red, a gorgeous warm red with a hint of orange and a slightly frosted finish. This is one of the most wearable warm red I’ve seen in a while. It’ll work year-round!
Very Elderberry, a great wearable cool frost plum. This is probably going to be the most slept on color of the bunch but I promise it’s a winner. Because of Rihanna (and her glam squad) cool tones and frost is in this winter. The only issue is if you have a deeper skin tone finding a nice cool frost plum lipstick can be difficult—pick the wrong color and be prepared to walk around with silver lips. Only issue with this color is that you must wear a lip balm first. It’s not forgiving to lines and creases.
Rosy Tomorrows, another winner. A nice mid-tone rose with a frost finish and flecks of purple shimmer. In some lighting it looks more berry than rose, but still a nice color for winter.

I just got shade Q470 Mocha Loca and it is a creme. In fact, it’s now one of my HG nudes. There was another red (iirc, it was Q515 Paint the Town) and a burgundy (Q415 Tawny Port) that were also cremes.
Walgreens is doing BOGO on the new Lip Perfection lipsticks too
