3 more Glam Slam Collections to coincide with the 3 remaining tennis tournaments: The French Open (May), Wimbledon (June) and The U.S. Open (August).
Simply Smashing – Metallic green/yellow with yellow glass flecks. This will be one of the ‘it’ colors for spring 2011. Glass flecked yellows will be in and this color will be no exception.
Black Shatter – Deep matte black cracked polish topcoat. I tried this on bare nails with no luck. I followed the directions and used a single thin coat over completely dry nails and success was mine! Finally a crack polish that works. I’m hoping OPI makes a Whit Shatter, Red Shatter, Pink Shatter…you get the picture. *Early press releases showed that this was Serena’s color but later releases showed it was Katy’s…or that they are sharing it. Not that it matters– it’s only a topcoat. The directions also mention that it should be applied over any of the “Katy shades.” It looks like Serena only has 1 color in the collection which is “Simply Smashing”.
Not Like The Movies – Lavender/ gray-ish green duo chrome with silver glass flecks. This isn’t typically my type of color but I’m in looooooove. This must be the feeling people got when they ran out to buy Chanel “Paradox”. 2 thumbs up Katy and OPI! It looks very similar to Deborah Lippmann “Wicked Game”. I’m not sure if it is a dupe because I don’t own it to compare. I did snatch a picture of it from Landa of Bright Lights Big Color
The One That Got Away – Metallic jelly raspberry with hot pink micro shimmer. It was nice in the bottle but not deep enough as expected with 2 coats. Maybe 3 coats next time?
Teenage Dream – Sheer cotton candy pink with both tiny and small holographic glitter. This color looks great alone but I can’t wait to wear it over white polish. It looks like sprinkles on top of a cupcake. I can see this being a top requested color for Valentine’s. The formula was a little goopy but the application was fine. It looks similar to Sally Hansen “Strobe Light”, which I have so I’ll be taking pics soon to see if it’s a dupe.
Last Friday Night – This polish’s name also happens to be the name of one of my favorite songs on the CD (I love most of the CD), but this color isn’t. The sheer blue has the same size glitter as “Teenage Dream” but the glitter is iridescent. It just doesn’t look good on me. I’m not sure how to make this one more wearable. Maybe try some designs with it. Like I said before…I clearly have a dupe post coming soon since this looks like a dead on match of Sally Hansen “Shooting Star”

The Teenage Dream is not a dupe for Sally’s Strobe light. SL has a clear base. I think TD had a dupe in the Sinful Colors but I can’t remember the name. On that Note I think Last Friday Night is a Dupe for Sinfuls “Hottie”. Ur nails look stunning by they way.
