973 – Pale brown with a crème finish…can almost be placed in the category as a deep tan.
974 – Medium tone grayish brown with a tinge of plum, with a crème finish. I love this taupe! It’s like the in-between shade of medium taupe and purple taupe.
975 – Milk chocolate brown with a crème finish.

Typically, I don’t care for nail polish collections that offer only variations of the same color but in this case I love it. I can handle 3 shades…but when it’s almost 10 colors I become turned off (here’s looking at you Nubar Nail Lacquer). This collection is rumored to be Inglot’s fall 2011 nail color collection but they were released last year for fall 2010 and I see it on their site. I just happened to grabbed these while I was at The Makeup Show LA this weekend for around $7.50 and had to have them. These are great everyday colors and I’m a sucker for a great taupe. I’m sure I’ll have to keep a close eye on these because I saw a few of my friends leering at them.
This is my first time using Inglot’s nail polish and I must say…I am pretty gosh darn impressed. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again….nail enamels have come a long way. I remember when they had the reputation of being goopy and taking forever to dry. Not anymore. The brush was just ok, but not problematic and the formula was really good. I only used two coats for each color. Drying time was quick…something we can all appreciate. I was also impressed with the high shine finish. Now I’d never wear nail polish without a topcoat but I have friends that will (blame it on their busy lives) and they would love this. At times I had a hard time noticing which nails I already applied a topcoat to. It was just that good. I’ll be wearing #975 for the next five days to see how well they wear.
Despite the fact that there were six different beauty and hair looks coming down the street-gang inspired L.A.M.B. runway, the one commonality that all seemed to share was that the bigger and fiercer, the better. Hair by Danilo spanned the gamut from bouffants tucked behind lady-like head scarves, dramatically side-swept bangs, oversized buns, theatrical extensions, and an array of headpieces. The different beauty looks done by Charlotte Willer for Maybelline New York was as equally fierce with inky eyeliner, strong brows, pops of electric turquoise, thick cat eyes, and shimmery eye accents all toned down with a neutral lip.
WEN Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner is a universal cleanser designed to give all hair types the moisture and hydration they need to stay healthy, shiny and manageable. It is an incredibly rich, yet lightweight formula that thoroughly cleanses and also gives body, volume and a smooth, polished finish.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, I’m sure you’ve heard of Chad Wen hair Products. I remember how intrigued I was by Chaz Dean and his hair company one morning while I was watching an infomercial featuring Wen Hair Care. The concept…while new to some if fairly common among others. Instead of washing your hair with shampoos that contain harsh detergents, use a cleansing conditioner that will not only cleanse but keep your hair moisturized.
I’d have to agree with the description of the Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner; it is universally friendly for most hair types and it’s not too light or too heavy. You can easily use it in your daily routine. It has a great amount of slip and detangling went off without a hitch. It got my scalp nice and clean but I didn’t get the tingle (from the menthol) that I was hoping for. Now the tingle isn’t an indication that it’s cleaning your scalp but it does feel good and helps with circulation. It just wasn’t apparent when I used it. Per the directions for my shoulder-length hair I should have used a minimum of 24 pumps of product. That would have been a huge waste of product. I used about 7, which was still too much. I think it would be best to modify the directions or leave the “recommended amount” off the directions. It’s also a bit of a turn-off to read the label of a hair product that recommends using over 20 pumps of product and as much as 40 pumps for long hair.
You can also use this cleansing cream as a leave-in conditioner, which I did and liked. It didn’t do an amazing job at binding my curls but it did what it was intended to do and that was condition my hair. I pinned my hair back and twisted it on the sides as a protective style for the week using a little Eco Styler Gel (with Olive Oil) and I didn’t experience any flaking or anything when it dried. It’s good to know that it works well with other products. Overall, I recommend the Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner for the person looking to minimize and simplify their hair care routine. It gets the job done and their product range is pretty impressive. The graphics on the packaging could use a nice updated look but the product itself is really good.

I’ve also heard that Ulta has this collection as well but call first, I haven’t gotten official word to confirm it.

Well if you haven’t already heard, Curlz Gone Wild is no longer supplying hair and their site is no longer running. *BBM sad face*. Well the good news is that there’s a new Indian Hair supplier on the block. Let me introduce you to Glam Remy Spot…once again. This isn’t the first time Glam Remy Spot has been on Addictedtoallthingspretty.com but this is a formal introduction .
Doesn’t this hair look gorgeous? This is 2 bundles (4 oz.) of 16″ Virgin Deep Wave Indian Hair. Strong wefts, no gaps or burn spots, and the ends look great. The curl pattern is beautiful and the color is so natural. The color is dark chocolate brown at the top and slowly faded into a medium brown towards the bottom, almost in an ombre fashion. I’ll be installing this soon and can’t wait.

I reviewed OPI “Lucky Lucky Lavender” last year and it is still one of my favorite shades of pink. Which reminds me… I need to order another bottle so I can wear it more often.

I’m sooo not tried of the cracked polish trend. The more the merrier! Can you imagine the endless possibility of color combinations? And let’s not talk about designs, toppers, and finishes *heart swoons*. If you haven’t been able to find OPI (Black) Shatter, these China Glaze Crackle Glazes will help you fill that void. I must admit, I pretty impressed. Not all cracked polish is the same and these are really good great. Its times like this I wish China Glaze had a wider and thicker brush because it would make the application easier. The trick with cracked polish is applying it in the amount of passes as possible without doing over the same section. A wider and thicker brush would make this a walk in the park. The crackle effect is dependent upon the thickness of that single coat; too thick and you’ll have huge cracks, normal and you’ll perfect cracks, and too thin and you’ll have a million tiny cracks. There’s no right or wrong way to do it, just a matter of preference. I love all the colors but was thrown off by the addition of a shimmer finish in a set of all crèmes. The color is nice don’t get me wrong, but I do wish it was a crème. The must-have color of the set is “Crushed Candy”. It’s like the sister of china Glaze “For Audrey”…just pretty as heck! As with all crack polish you must use a base coat or color prior to applying it. I used OPI “San Tan-Tonio” as a base color because its a really good nude color. It will NOT shatter properly, if at all if you attempt to use it on bare nails. I personally don’t allow my color to dry too much, but to each its own.

Tropical Traditions has formulated three different hair oils using our organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil along with other high quality organic oils known to nourish hair. Along with the base of organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, we included organic jojoba oil, organic macadamia nut oil, organic rosehip oil, organic shea butter, and organic carrot seed oil in each formulation. Two of the formulations are scented with the highest quality organic essential oils available, imported from France: Rosemary and Lavender. There are no other ingredients besides these high quality organic oils: NO SILICONES, NO SULFATES, and NO ALCOHOL
I’m so giddy right now! I reviewed Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil a little over a year ago and have implemented coconut oil in my hair routine ever since. I figured it was only a matter of time before they expanded their line to include hair oils and now we have it! My first impression was “please don’t let this be like Vatika Oil, because one Vatika Oil is enough”. This oil isn’t anything like Vatika Oil…check the ingredients. Since moving back to LA my hair has became drier and it doesn’t corporate as much as it normally does…the water here is hard *boo hoo*. I’ll be reviewing these over the next week or two but in the meantime we can get the giveaway started. Tropical Traditions was kind enough to sponsor a giveaway of this entire set to one lucky blog reader so be sure to enter using the form below.
Get in touch with your inner princess with these breath-taking new arrivals! Dress up your lips with a luscious, regal look and add ambiance to any vanity with this lavish, glamorous pewter toned lipstick case with smooth and creamy lipsticks in Royalty Red & Princess Pink. The intricately-designed case is embellished with glistening Swarovski Elements, each replicating the tone of the lipstick you choose.
The nourishing and luxurious, creamy lipstick glides on lips leaving them supple and soft. Whether you give this stunning lipstick away as a gift or keep it for yourself, you will never see another one like it! Like a precious jewel, it’s a rare find and true royal collectible, Girlfriend! And Oh yes princess, you’ll need a knight to carry this one for you —it’s a weighty matter that you’ll enjoy!
Let’s jump right in. This lipstick case is absolutely hands down the most beautiful case I’ve ever seen. It has a nice amount of weight, a beautifully crafted, and it probably has the ability to make others jealous when you whip it out at the table or bathroom when you touch-up your makeup. Honestly, the case alone seems to be worth $30, if not more. Rhinestones aren’t my thing so I think the case would have been better off without them…but that’s just me. The formula, texture, and scent of the lipstick was great too. It’s marketed as a buildable color but I found the color to full colored. However, the color is borderline dated. The rosy pink has a whisper of shimmer. It reminds me of a lip gloss I used to wear by Wet N Wild….but a higher quality. It does make for a cute party color but I can’t see myself wearing this every day and since this is a collectible lipstick I probably wouldn’t want to wear it every day either. The good news is that this lipstick is also available in a deep red, which is right up my alley. I’m putting “Royalty Red” on my birthday wish list.
