When I initially heard about MAC’s Blogger’s Obsessions Collection I was thrilled to say the least.  An opportunity like this is good for beauty bloggers all over the world because it lets companies know that we as bloggers have a voice and it’s time to acknowledge that.  I’ve seen nail polish companies work with beauty bloggers on collections, but nothing of this scale.  I only ended up purchasing 2 items from the collection– Afrobella’s “All of My   Read More ...

UPDATE 12/31/12 @ 10:11AM:  This dryer was everything and I got about 7 uses out of it, but I’m sad to report that it no longer gets hot.  It’s now useless .   Over the years I’ve purchased not 1, not 2, but 3 blow driers.  2 of the hair dyers are the same brand because most beauty supply stores around my area carry the same brand and model.  I   Read More ...

Just a few updates I wanted to post before I experience the busiest two weeks of my life!  IMATS, birthday parties, beauty events, a wedding, and even a family reunion are all on my social calender.  Enough about the hustle & bustle.  So I’ve been wearing the hair from Bella Dream Hair for exactly a month now and I still love it!  No tangling, the texture is still great but   Read More ...

No joke.  I found myself using 3 different types of holding spray last night because they’re all just mediocre.  I’ve been wearing my weave curly (using a large barrel curling iron) a lot and really want a good holding spray, preferably one that doesn’t break the bank but at this point I just want something that works.  So ladies…what’s your favorite (aerosol/ can) hold spray? More ghd…   Photo

See ____ (magazine that starts with the letter “E” that will be nameless)– this is how Bey’s makeup should look!  Francesca Tolot did a wonderful job creating a classic metallic smoky eye and sultry nude lips, all while using L’Oréal products.  You can easily recreate this look by hitting up your local drug store.  I always say price and brand is never an indication of the quality of a product   Read More ...

ELLE: Your first fragrance, Heat, was a huge success. Did you feel any pressure following that up? BK: I didn’t. The success of Heat was amazing, but why not represent a different side of a woman? Pulse represents the woman I am on stage. When I think about excitement, it makes me think about my heart racing and a pulsating beat—it’s my stage persona. Heat represents my sensual side, it’s   Read More ...
