The formula of NYX Black Label Lipsticks ($7.50) is very hydrating and glides like a lip gloss. You'll want to use a good lip liner because they do tend to feather. "A Tribute to Marilyn" is a slightly deepened neautral red that leans more on towards the cooler spectrum since it has a hint of blue tones.

I just wanted to post some swatches of Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Warm Radiance all-over-face-color (but it’s just a bronzer/ illuminator).  I kind of gave up on that brand after being disappointed by Warmth, which made me look like a dirty mess…I seriously don’t know how fair girls make it look so good because I need a lesson.  I gave them another chance and bought Warm Radiance ($19) which is golden bronze with gold illuminators.   I’m wearing this to my BFF’s wedding this weeding so I’ll have plenty of pics wearing it.

Rose scented shower ‘lotion’ with scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, this is the most luxurious body softener that ever was (if we don’t say so ourselves!).

You guys know I’m a sucker for a good in-shower body moisturizer!  They save me so much time in the morning when I’m rushing out the door to get to work.  Lush has several in-shower moisturizers Body Butters to satisfy my needs; King of Skin, Schnuggle, Buffy Body, and You Snap the Whip…just to name a few.  This time they took a different approach by making the Body Butter into a cream form and putting it in a jar.  Ro’s Argan is an in-shower lotion infused with cocoa butter, almond oil, rose extract, and other goodies.  I know the cocoa butter/ rose combo sounds a little off-beat but trust me it’s wonderful.  It’s a creamy vanilla rose fragrance with a hint of cocoa; great for girls that love rose and even those that don’t particularly care for it.  The texture is creamy and surprisingly it wasn’t a pain for me to dig out product while in the shower and just it rinses easily.  I have dry skin and found Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner to be highly moisturizing but not as moisturizing as King of Skin (which is a Body Butter, so it’s supposed to be more moisturizing, versus Ro’s Agran which is a lotion).  But I also found it to be very softening and my skin feels amazing.  I do wish the price point was lower…maybe around $15-20, but you do get a great deal of product for the price.

P.S.  Lush, I’d be ever so happy if you captured this scent in an exfoliating body butter….pretty please.

Essie “Cocktail Bling” is described as a precious pale grey jewel, and to some degree I’d have to agree with them.  It is precious and gray but it has so much blue and purple it could be an easy toss up between any of those colors.  I’m sure I could ask 5 different people what color this is and couldn’t get a consensus on what it is.  It’s a very muted dusty toned creme that isn’t stark at all.  I love this color but it doesn’t do much for my skintone, but I blame the lack of Cali sun and spray tan…not really the color.  The formula was nice and easy to be applied; but my number one complaint when it comes to Essie is this regular thin brush.  They have so many creme shades that it’s only right that we get a brush that fans.  Sigh.  A girl can only hope.  I don’t think they’ve ever changed their brush.

She's natural and love her curls

...and wears her hair straight for special occasions

So I had to pick up my 9 year old cousin from school last week and noticed that she smelled really good when she got in the car.  Not in an “I’ve been smoking cigarettes under the bleachers and need to cover it up” way but it was soft and not like a puppy dog from a hard day at school.  I asked her what was she really and without a blink she said Prada Candy and went in her purse to show my the sample bottle she keeps.  I saw her pulling out all type of stuff out of this small bag and had to take pics…I was that intrigued.

She carries a Blackberry… not surprised because she calls when she needs a ride and when I call her back, I’m greeted with a voicemail that says “Hello it’s Courtney, sorry I missed you.  I’m either at school, cheer, dance, or gymnastics.  Please leave a message and I’ll be sure to call you back”.  Long. Deep. Sigh.  I can honestly say she’s not that girl and I’ve never seen her on her phone or texting.  She walks in the door and does her homework and eats everything in sight.

Can’t walk around ashy so she carries Carmex and Baby Lotion, money for emergencies, and samples bottles of Prada Candy and Jo Malone.  She’s much more put together than I was at 9.  My chap-stick and change all went in my back pocket or backpack and I didn’t have a beeper until I was in middle school.

Ladies what did you keep in your purse at that age?  What items have you seen in a kid’s purse?

My Aunt Toni (a recovering beauty addict) was at the house rummaging through my bag of un-tried beauty products, when she personally pulled out the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and requested a review.  This product was probably towards the bottom of my list because I can smell the eucalyptus and it’s very reminiscent of that other cleanser that sounds like “oz-zema”.  I was also have second thoughts about using a muslin cloth but then it dawned on me;  I use a hot cotton face towel everyday when I wash my face so there’s no harm at all…it was all in my mind.

This cleanser is a creamy decedent whipped cream cleanser that you massage into dry skin.  I used it after the shower and got fantastic results.   I massaged it into my skin for 2 minutes and when removing makeup from the eyes or lips I focused on just that immediate area instead of circulating it all over my face.  While testing the temperature of the hand-hot water, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t turn into slick on my skin and rinsed well in lukewarm water.  I placed the muslin cloth in hot water, rung it out, and proceeded to remove the cleanser in medium-sized circular motions.  It removed easily and I didn’t feel a thick coating of moisturizer on my skin.  I then finished by splashing cool water on my face (it was recommended but I wouldn’t do it in the future).

My skin was thoroughly cleansed and it was easy to see any leftover areas since I was using a white muslin cloth.  Despite the product being white and the cloth being white as well, you can see a color variation when cleansing.  It was gently polished and I had a nice glow and after day 2 my pores didn’t have any noticeable whiteheads even in the chin area.  Keep in mind this won’t replace regular exfoliation since it’s very gentle to the skin; so it makes it perfect for all skin types, even sensitive.  The cleanser has some pretty impressive ingredients and it isn’t filled with oil or junk.  My skin was clean, smooth, hydrated, and my pores were tight without my skin having that tight dry feeling.  The price point is wonderful; the starter kit (shown in the photo) includes a 3.3 fl. oz. bottle of cleanser with a pump and a machine washable muslin cloth (my kit came with 2 cloths but this isn’t specified on the site so I’m still waiting on confirmation.  I actually gave my best friend the rest of my bottle and a cloth to prep her skin for wedding in 7 days and I’ll be placing my order online in the morning.  I can’t wait for Liz Earle to take the U.S. by storm and be sold in stores like Sephora.  Maybe if I put it out there it’ll happen.
