Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors Holiday Collection 2011 Review and Swatches

Listen to Your Momager! – This vivid royal blue shimmer is stunning.  I’m normally not a fan of royal blue since it can look a little ‘hood at times but because of the jelly texture and the way the blue shimmer floats in the polish it makes it very glam-y.  3 coats.

 

Wear Something Spar-Kylie – Rosy pink base choked full of rosy pink glitter.  It’s cute a mature at the same time…yes…even for a glitter.  2 coats.

 

Sealed with a Kris – A classic deepened red crème; it doesn’t fall into the burgundy or wine category for me just a dark red.  The formula was bad and seemed to move and spread.  2 coats.

 

Rainbow in the S-Kylie – Clear base with large sliver, pink, orange, and purple glitter and chunky hex glitter.  It looks like “Rainbow Connection” from the OPI Muppet Collection.  I’m not  bothered by the dupe since they’re from the same brand but I want a different color…a lot of these are following the Lippmann “Happy Birthday” formula and I’m kinda’ over it.  2 coats.

 

My Empire…My Rules – Well ok momma-Kris.   Just from watching Kris’s style over the years, I wasn’t surprised to see a mousey gray.  Very chic and wearable year-round.  2 coats.

 

Kourt is Red-Y For a Pedi – Bright jelly coral red…nothing more to say about this one.  It may be easy to dupe but if you don’t own a jelly like this you need to.  2 coats.

 

Kim-Pletely In Love – I’m not going to insert a joke here but know that I have countless for this polish name.  This jelly baby pink has a purple-toned iridescent micro shimmer; something about it is very Kim, very girlie and dainty.  I think it looks great at a jelly but I can see wanting it to be more opaque.  You can add a white base coat to solve that issue.  2 coats.

 

Khloé Had a Little Lam-Lam – I cringe at Khloé’s baby talk but there’s no denying the love she has for Mr. Lamar “Lam-Lam” Odom-Kardashian.  This deepened almost blackened blue- green crème is gorgeous; very chic and classic.  This is one of those colors you’ll wear every autumn.  2 coats.

 

Kendall on the Katwalk – I have so many plans for this glitter, I cannot wait!  It’s a stark sheer blue base has green, teal, blue, and purple glitter. I love the color combo!

 

It’s All About the Glam – Jelly white with silver micro glass-flecked shimmer.  I could easily add this one to the Twist on White series…it screams holiday glam white, but something tells me that you may be able to achieve this color using OPI “Funny Bunny” with a silver micro shimmer topper…I just can’t think of a brand that makes one.  2 coats.

 

Hard Kourt Fashionista – This color looks very brown in dim lighting but also has a lot of purple tones…it just doesn’t translate well on the nail.  I love this color but it is a bit strange.

 

Follow Me on Glitter – I wonder if momma-Kris has anything to do with this indirect Twitter shout-out.  Nonetheless, this glitter is pretty spectacular.  It has a smoky green base with silver, red, teal, and pink glitter (just like “Disco Dolls” and “Rainbow in S-Kylie”).  I’d use this for an accent nail with “Khloé Had a Little Lam-Lam”.

 

Disco Dolls – Ehhh when I think disco ball I think silver holo, but this golden copper glitter with holo hex glitter works just fine.  I don’t know if this is a collective color or one of momma-Kris’ colors, she was the only doll of the Kardashian clan that can recall the disco era.

 

All Kendall-ed Up – A fun and flirty doll pink creme.  I can dig it.
