MAC Face and Body Foundation…plain and simple; no “technical” name nor overly complicated.

In the million years I’ve shopped at MAC this foundation has never been recommended to me…like ever!  Even during times I’ve visited aimlessly looking for just stuff to purchase it was never recommended to me.  I’m not sure why they insist on keeping this jewel such a hidden treasure.

Described as “a fluid foundation that provides low-to-medium buildable coverage and a flawless, natural satin-shine finish”, I’d have to say that they pretty much hit the nail on the head.  I typically wear shade NC45 but Face & Body Foundation only comes in 2 undertone categories; C (cool for yellow-golden olive skin) and N (neutral for beige skin).  It takes out a lot of the guess work and confusion when it comes to buying foundation but the shade range is limited.  I wear C7 in Face & Body which is the darkest shade in the C category.  Like OMG! Most of my friends couldn’t buy this in their shade.

The coverage never quite reached medium for me (more like sheer-medium) but I love the satin-shine finish.  It looks like young dewy skin.  You’ll definitely be feeling yourself when you wear this one, because it’ll make your skin look so gorgeous. I didn’t want to disturb the finish so I used a single swipe of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural.  I absolutely love this foundation; it handles both sweat and oil well, and its long wear.  I didn’t touch up at all that day and I have oily skin (but my skin is also packed with moisture.

Tips: Apply on the top of your hand to warm the product.  Stipple and swirl using a medium sized do fiber brush such as the Real Techniques stippling brush.

Where to buy: MAC Cosmetics stores, counters, and online
