Outermer Mousse de Chêne Perfume Oil
Short story.
My grandmother has this fragrance oil that she lives and swears by. She’s been wearing it since I was a kid. Years back I noticed that her bottle was running low so for Christmas I vowed to buy her a bottle. Problem was, I only had a partial name because it had worn off the bottle and she refused to share her mysterious fragrance details with anyone, not even her closest friends. Her explanation was “I don’t want them smelling like me.” I saw her point but was up for the challenge. I NEVER found it! She actually surprised me on Christmas Day by giving me a bottle (in case you’re wondering, it was not my style). Come to find out she keeps a case of the perfume oil under her bed and it has to be special ordered from Tennessee.
All that to say, Outermer (formerly known as L’aromarine) Mousse de Chêne will nearly be impossible to track down. I found it on 1 website that I’ve never shopped on and I’ve only found it locally at 1 store. I found it on SmallFlower.com, they incorrectly have the name listed. The good news is this perfume oil is only $8.99. Sure the bottle is tiny but a tiny dab will linger all day. Mousse de Chêne (meaning oakmoss) is so perfect for the season; it’s warm, musky, earthy, and marine-like. Since I love the potency of perfume oil version I’ll only be entertaining the idea of the eau de toilette version when I absolutely can’t find the oil anymore.
About L’Aromarine
L’Aromarine has been manufacturing perfumes and perfumery products for over 20 years. The perfume extracts come from 2 very distinct suppliers in Grasse. One is a very old internationally renowned company and the other is a very small family run business. When they develop a new perfume, they tell their suppliers the kind of scent they are looking for and they are provided with a range of samples from which they develop a fragrance that represents them in style and philosophy. They describe their fragrances as “pleasant and uncomplicated”. “We leave the romance to the wearer of our perfumes to create for themselves”. This line of fragrance is much loved by the customers who visit our shop. We are proud to bring you our favorites from the line.

I’m so mad with you……why did I buy two bottles of their other fragrances ( I plan on layering)….I’ve been looking for a new signature fragrance myself.
Where did you find it out there? I’ll be visiting soon. And if its not being too nosey, which 2 did you get?
