Ever had a moment where you were simply stuck in a rut; just a thick fog that you couldn’t escape?

Whenever I’m in one of those moods I purge things; usually its old clothing to donate, giveaway beauty products, or just do something that I wouldn’t normally do.  The end result is always far more rewarding than I ever anticipated.  I never have an issue purging my closet and find many ways to justify it; one, times are hard and someone out there is in need of these garments, and two, I need to make room for new clothes which is a reason to go shopping.  I really don’t need a reason to go shopping but hey…why not do something good in the process? Another good release is to try something new…something you wouldn’t normally do…something out of the box.

We all know how much of an app hound I am, I recently discovered new places to dine in parts of LA I don’t visit too often.  I’m still loyal to my local diners but my phone has a bunch of apps to help me find new places with the best food.  It’s always fun to get dolled up and take a mini road trip with friends just for a good taco.  I’ve also recently gone hiking with a group of friends that invited some new friends.  I hate outdoor activities but had the time of my life and the view of the California beaches and mansions, mountains, and wilderness was all worth the journey.

      So was I (and still am) but I promise you…it’s the best feeling ever. I’ll even get up and just go walking. Really just anything to keep myself busy.
      I’m starting to like self-help books again too

  3. Looks like you were at Runyon! Such a great spot for hiking. Try Fryman Canyon too. And there’s one near Culver City as well…Hmmm. I’m all about working out right now to keep things fresh–hiking, spinning, yoga, pilates and Crossfit. I’ve also been reading a lot more self-help books and juicing to detoxify my mind and body!
