Ohhh we have some goodies today! This is my first time blogging about a drug store topcoat. I guess I just had to be patient and wait for one to come my way worth blogging about. There’s no point in blogging about a ton of mediocre products. You guys aren’t here for that and I don’t have time to entertain it J I’m always leery of trying new topcoats, especially Read More ...
Hold up California, Fall doesn’t start for a few more weeks and it’s already windy and raining. But for the last two days you’ve been hotter than Hades. Get it together! I still have tanning to do! I’m simply not prepared. I haven’t even purchased riding boots, scarves, or jackets. But what I do have is POLISH *does jazz hands*! For the first time I can remember (and we all Read More ...
At Prabal Gurung this season, sharp tailoring and restrained silhouettes are complemented by graphic prints and a bold color palette. With Gurung’s signature attention to form, structure and detail, each piece combines quiet strength and femininity. To complement the collection, Gurung collaborated with Sally Hansen to create a very modern collection of nail shades, evoking the designer’s signature use of bold color. On the runway, Gurung used the Sally Hansen Read More ...
I spotted Sally Hansen “Malt” at Rite-Aid drug store last night and came home and changed my nail color. Yes, on a Friday night as though I had nothing better to do like getting some much needed rest. I was drawn to this color like a moth to a flame. I love a nail polish name that’s a single word and easy to remember, but I also like to understand Read More ...

OPI Nail Lacquer “Your Royal Shiness” Nicole by OPI “Give Me the First Dance” China Glaze Nail Lacquer “Jitterbug” China Glaze Nail Lacquer “Cheers to You” Sally Hansen “Celeb City”
Upon first look it looked as though Sally Hansen ”Strobe Light” had a chance to be a little competition for OPI “Teenage Dream”. Dupe? Not quite…not even close. OPI “Teenage Dream” is deeper in color and more of a “complex” nail color—the base color is richer in color, it has fine pink shimmer, and just enough big holo glitter to makes it perfect and not like a kiddie color.
I used 2 coats for both shades but surprisingly Sally Hansen “Shooting Star” has more BOOM POW to it. Its more pigmented and has more glitter than OPI “Last Friday Night”. The good news is that you can still find it at most drug stores and other mass retailers– it’s not limited edition either. See also: Katy Perry by OPI review and swatches
This has to be one of the best takes on white nail polish I’ve seen ever in a long time. Ok, let’s not forget about matte white nail polish but Lavender Cloud is different. It’s a class opaque white with lavender tones. Granted, most people will look at this color and only see white but nail polish lovers will see it for what it is. As with most crème finish Read More ...
