You may be hitting the gym to get your beach bod ready for summer, but let’s not forget; care is from head to toe…literally. Below are some of my summer beauty secrets….some not-so secret.
When it comes to my hair I LIVE for wash-n-go styles. One, the entire concept of spending a gorgeous beautiful California summer day in a hair salon surrounded by hooded dryers, blog dryers, pressing combs, and flat irons…just to sweat it out throws me. Two, the ease of wash-n-go styles are simply awesome and your hair naturally dries quickly. A good leave-in conditioner that’s both moisturizing and hydrating always does the trick.

Nip those problematic areas in the bud. Even if you don’t have time to exfoliate your entire body, whip up a small jar of homemade exfoliator using fine sea salt, whipped shea butter, and a drop of olive oil and use it on your elbows and knees. After a couple weeks you’ll forget about the winter abuse your skin took.
Here’s a cheap trick. Next time you’re at your favorite makeup counter ask for a sample of a really good liquid illuminator that’s close to your skintone and mix it in your hand with your favorite body cream or sun protector. Glowing skin is always in style!

In California every season is pedicure season, especially summer *design and art pleases*! You may have pretty toes but don’t walk out with rough heels. You guys know how I feel about those cheese graters for your feet. Instead of opt for callus removal drops (which can be found at move beauty supply stores). The results last longer and your heels will look sexy. Not to mention you’ll save bundles on skipping for this upgraded service at the nail salon.
