Even the most trendy and expensive home furnishings get a little tired after a while. And while moving furniture around can help spice up home décor, sometimes a little more is needed. The following ten home makeover ideas are quick, easy, and inexpensive ways to freshen up a room just enough to make it exciting but not destroy the whole theme.

Reupholster Cushions

Reupholstering a couch or recliner is tricky and can be expensive but recovering a cushion on a dining room chair or even a sofa is relatively easy with a bit of sewing knowledge. It doesn’t require a lot of fabric. Having “mismatched” couch cushions is quite trendy now, and the bonus is the originals can be stored and returned to their original position when a change is needed again.

Decorative Moulding

Use a variety of decorative mouldings to spice up old wooden furniture. Play with paint and metallic leaf to add more visual interest.
