You can make even the most boring outfit pop with the right accessories. Here are five easy tips for dressing up outfits with cool and unique accessories.

We’ve all been there.

The weekend rolls around.

It’s time to get dressed up in something super-cute and hit the town with friends. But, we open our closet, and…nothing.

So, we sift through everything we’ve bought recently to find that just-right thing to wear, and…nothing.

So, we frantically start emptying our drawers and ripping things off their hangers in hopes of finding just-the-thing that is exactly what we’ve been looking for.

And, you guessed it…nothing.

Well, before you call your whole weekend a wash, we’ve got an idea that’ll bring your wardrobe back to life.

Accessorize, girl.

Accessories are perfect for dressing up outfits that you didn’t even know you had.

(Wait, What?!)

Basically, accessories can make any outfit go from drab to fab in a flash.

Find out how accessories can make you look weekend-ready even when you think you have nothing to wear!

5 Tips for Dressing Up Outfits With Accessories to Look Your Best

Sometimes, no matter how many clothes you try on, you just can’t seem to find anything to wear.

You could go to the local mall and buy a new outfit. But, then, there are times when that won’t work either.

Maybe you’re short on time. Or, maybe you’re short on money.

Whatever the case may be, it’s probably not as bad as you might think.

At least, not if you have a few hip, no-fail accessories that you can add to the mix.

Take a look at how these accessories can be used to turn your entire world around. Or, at least a Friday night that’s headed for disaster, anyway.

1. The Viking Jewelry Trend

This year’s Viking jewelry trend came as a pleasant surprise. Who knew something so…ancient, could change the look of an entire outfit, right? But, lo and behold, throw on some Viking jewelry and it’s like “that old thing” you were wearing is instantly made new again.

Although we love just about everything “Viking” that we’ve seen, we’re especially crazy about Viking arm rings. Stack them up on both wrists and suddenly, you can’t help but feel super cool, no matter what you had on to begin with.

Trust us. Just try it.

2. Chunky, Bold, Gold

When I am at a total loss, I look through my accessory stash for something that’s chunky, bold, and gold.

Whether it’s a heavy-metal necklace or a heavy-weight belt buckle, somehow this formula really works.

The great thing about this trend is that you can even dip into your mom’s old 80’s collection and find at least something that meets its criteria.

3. A Hip Handbag

Save the clutch for a night when you’re looking for something understated.

When you want the bag to take center stage, however, you need it to be big and bright.

All you can find to wear is black leggings and a black tee? Throw a bright yellow or turquoise hobo bag over your shoulder and you’ll look like it was perfectly planned.

4. The Hat’s Where it’s At

Pretty much every guy I know loves the look of a girl in a hat.

It doesn’t really matter what kind of hat, either. Even celebrities love this trick.

Tuck your hair under a baseball cap. Sleek it down under a fedora. Even a toboggan can be a game changer.

The important thing is to wear it with confidence. Pretty soon, even you’ll be loving the look.

5. Belts are a Cinch

The right belt can give even a solid-color oversized tee pizazz.

And, the best things about belts it that they make an outfit come together like nothing you’ve ever seen.

A shiny patent leather number creates an air of sophistication. A wide western buckle gives jeans and a white t-shirt a sexy Daisy Duke appeal.

Whatever belt you’ve got, just go with it. Your friends will be asking to borrow it before the night’s end.
