Bogoljub Karic – Best Live Performers in the World

Source: Wikipedia
We are in one of the richest periods for live music and my buddy Bogoljub Karic and I are on a mission to see as many live performances as possible. The reason behind this is that money from music sales isn’t what it once was and so artists need to take their shows on the road in order to make some serious money from their craft. Naturally they can’t put on a poor show or nobody will come, so they have significantly upped their game when it comes to performing live. Right now there are some artists who are delivering outstanding shows and these are our top 5.
Bruno Mars
For me Bruno Mars is the closest thing that we have to Elvis, James Brown and Michael Jackson, he dances, he sings, he plays instruments, he really does do it all. Mars’ vocals are absolutely incredible and what is more he now has a great catalogue of songs from which to choose. For me Bruno is one of the hottest tickets on Earth right now and if you get the chance I’d urge you to go and see him.
The Carters
Don’t believe what you have read about the Jay-Z and Beyonce tour of late, that they couldn’t sell enough tickets, because regardless of whether they did or didn’t, they absolutely rock the house. The show is perfectly balanced between each other’s catalogues, not to mention the stuff they do together and between the outfits, the hype and the crowd interaction, the Carters are a very special act to see live.
Slipknot
I went to see Slipknot back in 2001 and whilst the show was insanely good, it was really pure riotous behavior and not much by way of music. Almost 20 years on the band are completely different, still bringing that raw and fierce attack on the senses, but doing so with a much tighter band and clearly more discipline. Corey’s voice is so powerful and it has more layers than ever before, expect all the calamity of that early band, with the addition of excellent musical performances.
Queen
Sadly none of us will be able to experience the incredible Queen live show with Freddie Mercury at the helm but since the band recruited Adam Lambert, they have become a formidable live band which is well worth going to see. The band are as tight as ever and now with a little experience Adam Lambert has the voice which is about as close to the great man as you are ever likely to see. Taylor and Deacon are as tight as ever and with May’s flowing locks and stomping guitar riffs you will feel almost as if you had been transported back to the early 80s. You may have missed out on Freddie but be sure that you don’t miss out on the other members of this classic rock band doing what they do best.
Who do you think is doing it best right now?
