Lisa Dudzik: 3 tips to get a beach body

It might not be summer in Perth, Australia, but in other parts of the world it’s in full flow. This is what Lisa Dudzik knows all about, being a foreign fitness instructor who happens to be based down under (in Perth, in Australia, if you haven’t already gathered).
Unsurprisingly, she’s had a lot of her clients appeal for her advice and resources about getting a beach body. This is a term which tends to be branded around as soon as the hot weather dons our landscapes, and ultimately flesh starts to be shown.
Through the course of today’s article we will tap into the knowledge of Lisa Dudzik, and find out what you really need to do if you want to don the beautiful beaches of your environment with a ripped body.
Your “before pictures” aren’t just for Instagram
We’ve now got to the stage where some people have been put off selfies, for the simple reason that so many have “over-cooked” them and plaster them all over Instagram. While we’re not advocating this approach by any stretch of the imagination, Lisa Dudzik says taking adequate “before pictures” is an essential component if you want to see some good progress when it comes to carving your beach body.
While the scales might tell some of the story, nothing quite puts things into perspective like a picture. It will show you exactly where your body needs work, and may highlight the fatty parts a little more than what hard and fast numbers do. Let’s not also forget that weighing scales don’t tend to inform you of your body fat statistics, while a photo can at least show you this visually.
It’s not about cutting out all of your favorite foods
One of the biggest mistakes that a lot of people make, whether they are based in Australia or Germany, is cutting out all of their favorite foods. The thinking behind it is obviously expected; after all, if you are trying to lose some fat the quickest way is to eradicate all of those bad foods, right?
There’s every ounce of truth behind this statement, but in reality it’s much more difficult than this. By doing this, you don’t have any motivation to stick to your diet. It means that you will quickly revert back to your old habits, rather than sticking around for the long-game. Furthermore, is one beer really going to break your beach body journey?
Share your journey with others
Again, the advice here isn’t to plaster your journey all over Instagram – although that might work for some people, says Lisa Dudzik. Instead, it’s about making yourself accountable. If you inform others of your intentions, it means that you are less likely to give up when the going gets tough. If it’s just you who is involved in your journey, the chances of you throwing in the towel as soon as you start to find your new lifestyle a little difficult will increase drastically.
