- 2 large Onions sliced into rings
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Beer cold
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 quart Vegetable oil for frying
Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth.
Dip the onion rings into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
Remove the onion rings with tongs and drain on paper towels.
