Ingredients

  • 1 Large onion
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • as needed Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cut the onion into a blooming shape.
  2. 2. Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. 3. In another bowl, combine milk and beaten eggs.
  4. 4. Dip the onion into the milk mixture, then coat with the flour mixture. Repeat for a thicker coating.
  5. 5. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C). Fry the onion until golden brown.
  6. 6. Drain on paper towels and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
