Bolivian Saltenas Recipe

Dough
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- ½ cup butter melted
Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup potatoes diced
- ½ cup peas
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup raisins
- ¼ cup olives sliced
- 2 units hard-boiled eggs chopped
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to the flour mixture. Add melted butter and knead until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
2. In a pan, cook ground beef until browned. Add onions, garlic, potatoes, peas, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender. Stir in raisins, olives, and chopped eggs. Let it cool.
3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough and cut into circles. Place filling in the center of each circle, fold, and seal edges. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
