Ingredients 

Pickles Ingredients

  • 6 cups cucumbers, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ cup kosher salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Combine cucumbers and onions in a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 1 hour.
  2. 2. Rinse and drain the cucumbers and onions.
  3. 3. In a large pot, combine sugar, vinegar, mustard seeds, celery seeds, turmeric, and cloves. Bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the cucumbers and onions to the pot. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Pack the pickles into jars and pour the liquid over them. Seal and refrigerate.
