  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Water
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted Butter at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
  2. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil without stirring. Cook until mixture turns a deep amber color.
  3. Remove from heat and carefully add heavy cream, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  4. Let cool slightly before using. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
