Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh clams
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Clean the clams thoroughly under cold running water.
  2. 2. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. 3. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. 4. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer.
  5. 5. Add the clams, cover the pot, and cook until the clams open, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. 6. Discard any clams that do not open.
  7. 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
