Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Diced carrots
  • 1 cup Diced celery
  • 1 cup Diced onion
  • 3 tablespoon Butter
  • 3 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the diced carrots, celery, and onion. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in the flour and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. 4. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. 6. Stir in the heavy cream and shredded chicken. Cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.
  7. 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
