Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large Russet Potatoes peeled and cut into fries
  • 1 quart Vegetable Oil for frying
  • to taste Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Peel and cut the potatoes into fries.
  2. 2. Soak the fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 325°F (165°C).
  4. 4. Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5 minutes until they are pale and soft. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. 5. Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C).
  6. 6. Fry the potatoes again in batches until they are golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
