- 1 lb Cheese curds fresh
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Beer cold
- 1 quart Vegetable oil for frying
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth.
Dip the cheese curds into the batter, coating them completely.
Carefully place the battered cheese curds into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
