Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mochiko (sweet rice flour)
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Potato starch (for dusting)

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix mochiko and water until smooth.
  2. 2. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. 3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, leaving a small gap for steam to escape.
  4. 4. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir the mixture, then microwave for another 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Stir again and microwave for 1 more minute.
  6. 6. Dust a baking sheet with potato starch. Pour the mochi onto the sheet and dust with more starch.
  7. 7. Let it cool, then cut into pieces and serve.
