  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • ½ cup Balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and cook for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thick and jam-like.
  5. Let the onion jam cool before transferring it to a jar. Store in the refrigerator.
