Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lb pork shoulder
  • 4 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 Italian rolls split
  • 8 oz sharp provolone cheese sliced
  • 1 bunch broccoli rabe trimmed
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. 2. Season pork shoulder with salt and pepper. Place in a roasting pan with garlic and chicken broth.
  3. 3. Roast for about 2 hours, until pork is tender and easily shredded.
  4. 4. While pork is roasting, blanch broccoli rabe in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  5. 5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté broccoli rabe until tender, about 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Shred the roasted pork and mix with the pan juices.
  7. 7. Assemble sandwiches by placing shredded pork, sautéed broccoli rabe, and provolone cheese on Italian rolls.
  8. 8. Serve hot and enjoy!
