Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 2 ¾ cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 unit Egg
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla.
Combine baking powder and salt with flour, add to the wet ingredients a little at a time.
Roll out dough on floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
Place cookies 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool on wire racks. Decorate as desired.
