Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 ¾ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 unit Egg

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Combine baking powder and salt with flour, add to the wet ingredients a little at a time.
  4. Roll out dough on floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
  5. Place cookies 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Cool on wire racks. Decorate as desired.
