Shrimp Po' Boys Recipe
A classic New Orleans sandwich with crispy shrimp, fresh veggies, and a zesty sauce.

Shrimp
- 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 4 French rolls split and toasted
- 1 cup Shredded lettuce
- 1 cup Sliced tomatoes
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Hot sauce optional
1. In a bowl, combine shrimp and buttermilk. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
2. In another bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, and Cajun seasoning.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
4. Dredge shrimp in the cornmeal mixture, then fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Mix mayonnaise and hot sauce in a small bowl.
6. Spread the sauce on the toasted rolls, then layer with lettuce, tomatoes, and fried shrimp.
