Instructions
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Mix well.
Stir in the milk until the batter is smooth.
Pour batter into a greased and floured baking tin.
Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
