Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter unsalted
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips semi-sweet
- ½ cup Chopped Nuts optional
1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.
3. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let them melt, then spread evenly.
5. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired. Let the toffee cool completely, then break into pieces.
