Tostones Fried Plantains Recipe
Crispy, twice-fried plantains that make a great snack or side dish.

Main Ingredients
- 2 green plantains peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
- to taste salt
1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
2. Add the plantain pieces to the hot oil and fry until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
3. Remove the plantains from the oil and drain on paper towels.
4. Flatten each piece with the back of a knife or a plantain press.
5. Return the flattened plantains to the hot oil and fry again until crispy, about 2 minutes per side.
6. Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt.
