Ingredients 

Gyro Meat

  • 1 lb Ground Lamb
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 large Onion grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • 2 teaspoon Dried Marjoram
  • 2 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
  • 2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine the onion, garlic, oregano, cumin, marjoram, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Process until finely chopped.
  3. Add the ground lamb and ground beef to the food processor. Process until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish, pressing it down firmly to remove any air pockets.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
