  • 1 cup refried beans for filling
  • 1 cup shredded cheese for filling

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, warm water, and salt. Mix until dough forms.
  2. Divide dough into 8 equal portions and shape into balls. Flatten each ball into a thick disk.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each gordita for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Slice each gordita open and fill with refried beans and shredded cheese.
